Menace Defender was born from a passion for the Defender brand and its embodiment of an authentic, rugged gateway to the outdoors. The company’s mission is to bring rare Defender vehicles to the Canadian market, preserving their heritage while adding modern luxury and comfort. Their new identity had to appeal to their passionate audience.

With a highly specific audience in mind, we could be deliberate in our choices of type, color, and iconography. The new identity needed to honor the original Defender brand while carving out Menace Defender’s own space in the market, appealing to adventurers while establishing its position as a luxury brand.


















By incorporating strong geometric forms into a simplified ‘M’ letterform, the new icon feels bold, dynamic, and angular, embodying both adventure and challenge.
Drawing inspiration from the bold typefaces of the Defender brand, the wordmark is a modern sans serif, precisely cut to echo the icon’s angles and compressed and expanded to extreme proportions.
Building on the brand story, the Menace tagline speaks to those who embrace a lifestyle defined by adventure and experiences.
